Tory Burch is not only a world-renowned fashion designer who built her own empire, she is ranked one of the most influential women in the world according to Forbes Magazine’s list of Top 100 most influential women. She wasn’t born into it. She didn’t inherit it. She embraced her own ambition, surrounded herself with supporters and made it happen.
All too familiar with the challenges women entrepreneurs face, she has used her success to build the Tory Burch Foundation, which made its debut in 2009. The Foundation was established to support the empowerment of women entrepreneurs, and provide valuable lessons from top industry leaders to help women-owned small businesses see their ideas through. The Foundation has developed programs to help these businesses by providing entrepreneurial education and mentoring opportunities. Each year, Tory Burch and a panel of judges host the Tory Burch Fellowship Competition to award ten women business owners from across the country, that demonstrate the values of the organization, to participate in the programs they have put in place to help better themselves, and in turn their community.
Lauren’s enthusiasm and fervor for excellence, growth, and willingness to learn from others make her an exemplary member of the Tory Burch Foundation Fellowship Program. With her clear vision for Dotted Line Collaborations, her commitment to Richmond entrepreneurship and her passion for empowering others, Lauren is one of those people whose ambition and resolve can be seen from miles away. With your help, the Tory Burch Foundation would not just be investing in Dotted Line, but in the Richmond community and the businesses that Dotted Line serves. Vote for Lauren to be one of the ten women selected to the program. By doing so, Lauren will serve as a voice for women business owners and Richmond entrepreneurship among top business leaders from across the nation.
Remember, voters may cast their vote multiple times! Voting is allowed once a day per user. Vote here!
